Electric

Something in the air’s electric, I feel it creeping up my spine
Buzzing through my head like magic, hoping the sun will shine
Something’s gotta give something’s gotta give something’s gotta give,
Reach out and say goodnight,
Only way to live, only way to live, only way to live
C’mon and take another bite

Suddenly it all feels different, the city moves at every turn
Try to keep away at a distance, you reach a point of no return
Ride it to the top, ride it to the top, ride it to the top
Can’t ever get enough,
Never want to stop never want to stop never want to stop
Take care not to get caught up

These things go to my head, give me something to think about surely
Digesting what’s been so said so poorly
A constant paradox, a flux of time and space
A step outside the box someplace
If you believe what you believe, you can perhaps see yourself clear
To find the things you need to find, you will not find them here.

Something in the wind’s contagious, jumping from brain to brain
Take a little taste of paradise, a Disneyland walk in the rain
Only way to go only way to go only way to go,
To see beyond the walls we’ve built
Never gonna know never gonna know never gonna know
Until the beans are spilt

It’s good to see so clear, lets me open my eyes for a minute
To see that I’m right here and in it
There’s plenty to be said, a vast web of complicity
Andromeda instead—a synchronicity
If you believe what you believe, you can perhaps see yourself clear
To find the answer close at hand, you weren’t looking here.

Something in the air’s electric, I feel it creeping up my spine
Rushing through my head like a touch of spring, a taste of dandelion wine
Carry me away carry me away carry me away, This will only get you so far
Just another day just some old clichés nothing more to say
Trying to keep my eyes on the stars…
